Kevin Mark Parrish, 69. died Sunday May 17, 2026.He was born March 26, 1957, son of John D., Sr. and Berniece Coomer Parrish.

Kevin formerly worked in healthcare marketing. He was a graduate of Durrett High School (class of 1975) and the University of Louisville. He was an avid UK fan and life-long Parrot Head. In his youth, Kevin enjoyed running cross country and track and field. Few things brought Kevin more joy in life than his classic cars. He got a 1969 Chevy Chevelle when he was in high school and he maintained it with meticulous care all of his life. His other dream car was a gorgeous blue 1955 Chevy Bel Air. With the help of others, he completely restored it to pristine condition. He enjoyed his friendships made in the classic car community.

In more recent years he became involved with Mulligans Living Kidney Donors, a nonprofit organization that advocates for patients in kidney failure, specifically raising awareness about the need for living kidney donors. The Mulligans cause and the people he met through the organization were near and dear to Kevin’s heart. Kevin also enjoyed playing guitar and loved live music, most especially local legend Tim Krekel.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his daughter, Kasey Savannah Parrish.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Deborah Walker Parrish; brother, John D. Parrish, Jr. (Selina); daughter, Kristin Worthen (Jeff); and grandchildren, Harper, Judah and Theo.

His funeral will be 1pm Friday May 22, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service. Burial in Calvary Cemetery is private.

Kevin’s life was extended twice by the generosity of organ donors and their families. In Kevin’s honor, contributions to Mulligans Living Kidney Donors are encouraged.
