Kevin Morris, age 48, was born November 22, 1973, in Louisville, Ky to James E. and Debra L. (Cruse) Morris.  He tragically passed away July 31, 2022.

Kevin graduated from Fern Creek High School, class of 1991.  Following graduation, he served briefly in the U.S. Army.  He earned an associate degree in mechanical computer-aided design and drafting from Louisville Technical Institute in 1995 and an associate degree in Applied Science/ Fire Science Technician from Jefferson Community Technical College in 2005.

Kevin proudly served the public as a Firefighter, Paramedic Supervisor, and instructor for 21 years in a variety of departments, including Anchorage, Highview, Fern Creek, Buechel fire departments, Spencer, Georgetown, Scott, and Woodford County EMS.  He retired in March 2021.

Kevin proposed to the love of his life, Kayla while attending a game of his beloved Atlanta Braves.  They were married May 9, 2015.  Kevin Loved attending/watching/playing/coaching T-ball and baseball.  He enjoyed attending concerts with friends, Nascar races with his Dad, and fishing with his boys.

Kevin was an avid wood worker; he volunteered in Boy Scouts of America, T-ball, and volleyball with his children.  He loved hosting BBQ's, bonfires, and parties for his friends, where he was the life of the party.  He loved to cook and was a certified judge for the Steak Cook off Association.  He was also a Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed golfing with the guys.

Kevin wore a mullet proudly in the 1980's while sporting jean shorts(which he continued to rock).  He had an infectious smile and an insatiable desire to collect flashlights.  He loved "drinking pina coladas and getting caught in the rain".

Kevin is survived by his wife Kayla (King) Morris, children Trinity, Greyson, and Keeghan; His father James E. Morris, sister Karen Davis, niece Michaela, nephews Jordan and Jamie, his brothers and sisters of fire and EMS, and many friends.

Memorial visitation begins at 1pm Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Fern Creek Funeral Home, concluding with a service at 6pm.
