Kenneth Tyler, 88, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 31 ^, 2023.

He was a devoted husband of 62 years to his wife, Doris.  He was a loving Dad and proud Papaw.

Kenny was a long-time member of Fern Creek Christian Church, a 1953 graduate of Fern Creek High School, and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Kaufman Tyler; children, Donna (Steve) and David: two beautiful granddaughters, Kristen (Kyle) and Lizzy (Sam); one handsome grandson, Ethan along with Ethan's Mom, Jennifer Tyler; two adorable great-grandsons, JT and Adam;  sisters, Jeneva Workman and Carolyn Barnett; brother, Calvin Tyler; and many nieces and nephews and their extended families whom he loved.

His funeral is 6pm Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is after 2pm until the time of the service.  Entombment is private.

A branch of our family tree has fallen but Kenny's love and legacy remains strong and true.  He will be deeply missed by all those who loved and respected him.

The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at Glen Ridge for their care during his time there and also his doctors and their staff – Dr. Montes, Dr. Haller, and Dr. Offutt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made in Kenny's memory to Fern Creek Christian Church – Student Ministry and FCCC Women's Card Ministry.
