Karen Marie Walker, 51, died Monday, August 4, 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born July 31, 1974, daughter of William Gregory and Marilyn Mullinix Barker.

Karen was a graduate of Seneca High School and attended the University of Louisville.  She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and enjoyed activities with her friends in the deaf community.

Her father and mother-in-law, Joyce Walker preceded her in death.

In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by her husband of almost 19 years, Steven F. Walker; daughter, Abigail Rose Walker; mother, Marilyn Barker; brother, Paul G. Barker(Jeanine); sister, Rebecca R. Barker; father-in-law, Walter C. Walker; nephews, Christian, Matthew, Nathan, Anthony, Samuel, Will and Teddy Barker; niece, Dakota Waddle Cunningham; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her funeral mass is 10am Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2040 Buechel Bank Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 1-7pm Monday, August 11, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
