Judith Carolyn Thornsberry Curtis, 81, died Saturday, August 2, 2025.  She was born December 8, 1943 to the late William Earl Thornsberry and Emma Scamahorne Ross.

She was a customer service representative for Humana, graduate of Presentation High School, a member of St Athanasius Catholic Church and attended Holy Family Catholic Church.

Judy loved quiet nights at home, spending time with her husband and pet dog, Willie.  She enjoyed reading, especially medical news, and watching television.  She loved her family dearly.  Faith was an important part of Judy's life.  She prayed fervently and until recently she attended church regularly.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Curtis; sister, Catherine Irene Wright; and stepson, Donnie Curtis.

She is survived by her siblings, Norma Jean Miller, William Jerry Thornsberry (Mary), Geraldine Brecht (John, deceased), and Sharon Rose Thornsberry (Gary Fields); stepdaughter, Paula Oflynn (Sean); numerous nieces and nephews; and several step grandchildren.

Her funeral mass is 10:00am Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, KY  40213 with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 1-8pm Friday, August 8, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291.
