Joyce R. Wood, 94, died Saturday, December 24, 2022.

She was born Joyce Regene Van Winkle on December 1, 1928 in Yankeetown, IN, daughter of Charles Sylvanus and Edith Mattie Briody Van Winkle.

Joyce was a musician, educator and retired after 20 years from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Le Roy, William Van Winkle and daughter, Lane Maguire and is survived by her grandson, Shawn Maguire; and several nieces.

Memorial visitation is 2-6pm Friday, December 30, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
