Joseph Henry Schneider, Jr., 95, died Monday, February 17, 2025.

He was born March 23, 1929, son of Joseph H., Sr. and Mary Catherine Horan Schneider.  Joe retired from International Harvester after 30 years of service.  Additionally, Joe was a home builder and a real-estate broker, owning Joe Schneider Real Estate and Schneider Lawn Service.  He was an Army veteran, a 1947 graduate of Fern Creek High School, and a member of American Legion-Highland Post, Moose Lodge #5 and St. Martha Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Louis "Boots" Schneider.

Survivors include his children, Mary Jo Kissel (Rob), Debbie Moore, Elaine Franklin (Ken), Joe Schneider (Rhonda) and Teri Schneider; grandchildren, Danny Kissel (Madeline) , Katie Langfels (Cameron), Eric Kissel, Mike Moore (Leeann), Chris Moore (Sara),  Amber Hill  and Trey Franklin (Shelby); and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral mass is 10 am Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY  40218 with burial following in Penn Run Memorial Park.  Visitation is at the church after 9am until the time of service.
