Jordan M. Morlan, 16, died Monday, September 23, 2013 at University of Louisville Hospital after sustaining injuries due to an accident while decorating for Halloween.
He was born in Abilene, TX and a 10th grade student at Fern Creek Traditional High School. He was an honor student, a member of the FCTHS Jr. ROTC rifle team and Christian Heritage Chapel in Salem, IN.
He loved books, was very artistic, loved decorating for holidays and dreamed of serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ginger and Francisco Rodriguez; father, Michael S. Morlan; sister, Megan Kay Morlan; grandmother, Susan Kay Porter;half-sisters, Olivia and Emma Morlan; aunts, including Marinda Schneider (Michael) and Angie Davis (Ian); and cousins, Jesse and Kaela Davis.
Funeral is 7pm Thursday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. Visitation is after 3pm Thursday until the time of the service.
