Obituary

Jordan Alexander Cotten, Sr. passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Saturday, April 27th 2024, and Heaven gained a handsome angel.

Jordan was born June 26, 1991 in Louisville, KY. During Jordan's childhood, he loved to write, spend time with his family, and travel. In middle school, he was honored at the Kentucky Center of the Arts for writing a screenplay about inner city life.

Jordan shared a love of real estate with his grandfather, Rick Warrick (Elsie) - purchasing his first property at age 25. He went on to purchase the homes of his grandparents and his mother, Deidre Daniels. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, godfather, and friend. He was loved by many! His hugs, smile and laugh will be missed most - and his juicy forehead kisses too.

Jordan was a believer and studied the Bible with his mother. He then attended St. Stephen and Bates Memorial Baptist churches with his sisters, Jeanna and Dior.  He recently became a member of Grace Fellowship Community Church in Jeffersonville, IN.

Jordan is survived by his father, William Cotten; mother in care, Gena Arnold; his wife, Gabrielle Cotten; his children and their mothers  - sons, Jordan Alexander Cotten Jr. and Josiah Cotten - daughters, Joriah Cotten and Quiselynn Wagner; his stepdaughter Grace Clemmons; his goddaughter, Keniya Tyson; his siblings William Cotten Jr., Leslie Sprows, Norvin Sprows, Jeanna Works, Dior Cotten, and Christopher Daniels. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deidre Daniels.

Jordan visitation is 3:00-7:00pm Tuesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd.
