Wilbert John Wise, Jr., 71, died Monday, October 28, 2024.

He was born October 10, 1953, son of Wilbert John, Sr. and Myrt Riggs Wise.

John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.

A dedicated employee of Winn-Dixie for 25 years. John worked at Ford Motor Company until his retirement. He also proudly co-owned Wise Vending Machine Company alongside his father.
A graduate of St. Xavier High School and Bellarmine University, John was not only academically accomplished but also an avid sports fan. He enjoyed horseracing, baseball, and remained deeply connected to his roots through cherished memories of raising hogs alongside his father in his early years.
Above all, John was a devoted family man who treasured the moments spent with his loved ones. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a niece, Cary Wise.
John believed in "wrapping yourself up in your family" and is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Stickler Wise; children, Tara Gross (Joe), Ashley Kuerzi (Marty), Lindsey Weidner (Bobby), Courtney Wise, and John Wise (Ashley); grandchildren, Cawood Kuerzi, Taryn and Tanner Gross, Joelle, Elliot and Elijah Weidner, and Hayden and Cooper John Wise; siblings, Charmaine Johnson (Steve) and Gary Wise (Colleen); nephews, Craig Johnson (Emily), and Jeremy Johnson (Corey Hilderbrand); parents-in-law, Tom and Mary Ann Stickler; beloved aunt, Barbara Ann Hagan; and many extended family members and friends.
His funeral is 10am Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 2-8pm Friday, November 1, 2024.
