John E. May, 95, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

He was born June 23, 1929 to the late William and Elizabeth Huehl May. He was an Army Veteran during the Korean War and retired carpenter for the Al Schneider Construction Company.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean May, daughter, Holly Ann May, second wife, Jacquelyn May; and siblings, Mildred, Anida, Elmer, William and Morris May.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Melisse Noel May, and Carol Leigh Browning (Keith); loving grandchildren, Lauren Gassier (Justin Cundiff), Jonathan Nixon-Elder (Lucinda), Andrew Browning (Allison), Timothy Browning, Caroline Browning; loving great grandchildren, Austin Campbell, Kaya Gonzales-Elder, Léo Gassier, Juliette Gassier, Michael Browning; and his loving nephews.

His memorial service is 6:30pm Friday, June 6 with visitation beginning at 2:00 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd.
