Joseph (Joe) G. Stopher Jr, 72, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, surrounded by family.

He was born to parents Joseph and Eleanor Stopher, on August 29, 1950. Joe graduated from Trinity High School in the class of 1968. While serving as a member of the United States Army Reserves, he started working as a sheet metal worker. He became a member of Sheet Metal Union Local 110 after graduating from sheet metal apprenticeship school. He retired after 35 years in the union.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Nunn Stopher of 50 years; daughter, Kristina M. Stopher; son, Joseph G. Stopher III (Christina); three grandchildren, Bryson Mele, Hope Mele Johnson (Tyler), and Zachary Mele; and one great-grandson, Aiden Mele.

Joe is also survived by his brothers, Charles Stopher (Mary Jo), Robert Stopher (Theresa), and Raymond Stopher; and sisters, Mary Ann Stopher James (Dale) and Angela Stopher Hubert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph G. Stopher Sr. and Elenor Thomas Stopher.
