JoAnn Philpott, 96, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

She was born May 10, 1929, daughter of Chester and Bessie Stephens Gardner.  Jo was retired Executive Assistant for Winn-Dixie. She attended Ahrens Trade School and was a devoted member of the old St. Mark United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the UK Wildcats and the Cincinnati Reds.

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fritz Philpott; and brother, Gene Gardner.

Survivors include her siblings, Warren Gardner (Dee) and Mary G. White; niece, Vicki Marion; great niece, Shea Marion; great great niece, Jordan Marion; and special friend, Sandy Habeeb.

Her funeral is 2pm Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.  Visitation is after 1pm until the time of the service.  Burial is private.
