Jo Ann Wills entered eternal life on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

She was born January 1, 1949, daughter of George and Mildred Todd Rusche. Jo Ann was a graduate of Presentation High School. She worked as a special needs teaching assistant at Luhr Elementary School and as a dental assistant for Dr. Hatcher.

Jo Ann's life was marked by a selfless love of others. She was a joy filled woman, always smiling and laughing. Her greatest happiness came through the happiness and well being of her family. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Survivors include her devoted husband, James E. Wills; beloved son, Jeremy Kays (Lauren); grandchildren, Julia Kays (Cassidy), Miranda Kays, McKenna Kays, and Madalyn Kays; and great grandchildren, Noah and Harper Kays. She is also survived by her sisters, Wanda Rusche and Janice Glass.

Funeral mass is 1pm Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive, Louisville, KY 40228 with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 2-7pm Monday, December 22, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291.
