Jim Benham, 86, died Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

He was born James Stewart Benham on November 29, 1937 in Campbellsburg, Kentucky, son of Charles Edgar and Laverna Stewart Benham.

Jim was a faithful member of Summit Heights Methodist Church. Jim was also an Army Veteran. Jim retired after 34 years with Johnson Controls. After retirement he worked in pre-sort for UPS and was a driver for Greater Louisville Funeral Limousine Service and T.I.E.S Mortuary.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Shirley Spaulding Benham; children, Lori Brown (Todd) and Kevin Benham (Mandy); grandchildren, Courtney Russell (Adam), Cameron Brown, Christopher Brown(Dina), Raylin DeHart(Ryan) and Tilyr Brooks; great grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Adelisa, and Presley; and brothers, Tommy (Nancy, deceased) and Denny Benham.

Jim was preceded in death by Angel and Zachary Benham.

His funeral is 12pm Friday, December 6, 2024 at Summit Heights Methodist Church, 7400 Outer Loop, Louisville, Kentucky with burial in Brookland Cemetery, Shepherdsville, Kentucky.  Visitation is 1-8pm Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky and after 10:30am until the time of the service at the church on Friday.
