Jeffrey Lee Van Meter passed away June 3, 2022. He was born July 23, 1955 in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky to parents James and Peggy Van Meter. He graduated from Southern High School and from The University of Louisville with a degree in business administration. He worked for over thirty-five years in sales for tech and data companies.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Van Meter.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Van Meter.

He is survived by his children, Spencer Van Meter (Heather) and Amanda Mattera (Lucas). He is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Saffran, and her children Shelby Ford (Tyler) and Kyle Saffran.

He also has 5 grandchildren who will miss him dearly: Alyssa, James, Lily, Reid, and Cohen.

He is also survived by his 4 siblings: Barb Justice (Joey), Greg Van Meter (Nancy Jo), Margie McMurry (Jimmy), and Tracy Nyman (Scott). He also has many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends that loved him dearly.

Anyone that knew Jeff knows that he was an eternal optimist who was always positive, gentle, and kind. He lent a helping hand to anyone that needed it and never asked for anything in return. We hope that everyone will continue his commitments to love, acceptance, and kindness to help carry on his legacy.

A celebration of life will be held on July 24 ^th from 2-6 pm at Woodhaven Country Club. We ask that everyone wear a shade of blue, which was Jeff's favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation to The American Cancer Society be made in his name.
