Carol "Jean" Stewart, formerly of Louisville, KY went to her Heavenly Father on August 27, 2024 at her current residence in Somerset, KY.

She was born October 28, 1939, daughter of Edna and Harry Schornberg.  Carol was 1957 graduate of Eastern High School, a retired driver of a "special needs" bus for JCPS.  She also worked in Avon Sales.  Jean was a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother.  She was the matriarch of the family and a Christian by faith.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Stan Stewart; sister, Sherry Reynolds; brother, Harry Schornberg, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Patricia Stewart; and great grandson, Ayden Dearmond.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Rudolph (Mark), Deane Jarrett (Mike), and David Stewart; grandchildren, Amanda (Jason & Jeremy), Curtis (Katelyn), Nathalie (Donnie), Chelsea (Ryan), Nathan (Brittany), and Andrew (Destiny); 18 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; her extended family: Rose's & Perry's family and Becky & Karen Moore; sisters, Denise Smith (Lloyd) and Janice Litterll; nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.

Her funeral is 3pm Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private burial.  Visitation is 2-7pm Wednesday.
