Obituary

Jean Roseanne Meadway,

Surrounded by family, Jean "Rosie" Meadway, (Dillinger), passed away on July 5, 2024 in Louisville, KY, at the age of 77. Born on May 14, 1947, in Jackson, Ohio and graduating from Jackson High School in 1965, Rosie was known for her vibrant spirit, caring nature, and giving heart.

Rosie is survived by her devoted husband, John Meadway; her son, Nicholas "Jay" Tennant; Adrienne Sams, a daughter in her heart, and her cherished grandchildren, Zoe Tennant, Dalton Triplett, and Xavier Tennant. She also leaves behind her sister, Sue (David) McKenzie and a sister-in-law Donna Dillinger along with many nieces and nephews. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Jean Dillinger; her siblings, Eddie Dillinger, Patty Reese and Orville Dillinger Jr and two brother-in-law's Morgan Reese and Dick Helman.

Residing a great deal of her life in Newburg, Indiana. Rosie worked for the Vernon Corporation in Boonville. There her role was office manager but in reality, she cared for everyone as though they were family. Retiring after over 20 years of service. In retirement her and John moved to Louisville, Ky to be close to their son, grandchildren, and other family members and reconnect with her sister-in-law, Sharon Meadway.

Rosie's life was marked by her warmth and dedication to her family and her passion to care for others. All of those who came to know her loved her and she will forever be missed.

A memorial service with be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on July 13, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home.
