Jean Brussell, 88, died Saturday, October 15, 2022.

She was born Wilby Jean Hamilton on June 3, 1934 in Loretto, Kentucky, daughter of John Arthur and Genevie Hamilton.

Jean was a retired physical therapy assistant for Baptist East Hospital.  After retirement, she worked in the after school care program at St. Bernard Catholic Church.  She was an active member of St. Bernard, serving on the bereavement committee, creating hundreds of healing blankets and volunteering for Koinonia retreats.  She volunteered at Fern Creek Highview United Ministries.

Jean is survived by her husband, John Brussell; children, David Lasch (Karen), Karen Lawson (Jerry), Betty Baker (John), Tom Lasch (Louise), Mike Brussell (Craig Johnson), Glenn Brussell (Faye), Jeff Brussell (Michele) and Jimmy Brussell (Kristy); 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass is 9am Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive, Louisville, Kentucky with burial in St. Augustine Cemetery, Lebanon, Kentucky.  Visitation is 2-8pm Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
