Jamie Carol Smith, 69, died Monday, July 20, 2026.

She was born February 20, 1957, daughter of Donald and Edna Jones Moffett. Jamie was a graduate of Jesse Stuart High School and earned an associate degree from the University of Louisville. She worked as a patient advocate for U of L Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her sons, David and Eric Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Gregory H. Smith; and grandchildren, Alexis, Casey, Abi, Hitomi and Skylar.

Memorial service is 4pm Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation is after 12pm until the time of the service.
