James Fredrick Sims, 67, died Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Jim was born February 7, 1955 in Nelson County, Kentucky, son of Joseph and Mary Raley Sims.

He was a great Dad, best car salesman ever, and wildly loved by many people!  Jim primarily worked at Metropolitan Lincoln/Mercury.  He worked alot and was "always with a customer" when anyone tried to call him; however, he always found the time to attend his children's sporting events, recitals, etc.  As an honor student, Jim graduated from Durrett High School.  He was a Catholic, UofL fan, and loved the Derby, often hosting parties with 100's of guests.  Jim was also a devoted AA sponsor to many people.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Gala Ann Powell, Susan Carter and Dorothy Graves.

He is survived by his children, Amber Sims and Brandon Sims (Ashlee); granddaughter, Alyvia Sims; brothers, David and Joe Sims; and sisters, Mona Parrott and Maggie Jutz.

Visitation is 3-8pm Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road concluding with a vigil service at 7:30pm.
