James E. Mills, 86,  died Wednesday October 4, 2023.
He was a graduate of Fern Creek High School; served in U.S. Army, KY National Guard. He had a career at GE Appliance Park for over 35 years. He was a member and dedicated volunteer at St. Gabriel Catholic Church for over 50 years.
He is proceeded in death by his loving wife Monya M. Mills; his parents, Joseph Edward and Mary Eva Thompson Mills; siblings, Bernadette,  Mary Frances, Paul (Buddy), Gerald  (Jerry), Herald, Joe, & Tommy and a granddaughter Alyssa.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin Mills (Andrea) and Bruce Mills; daughters, Karen Mills, Brenda Mills and Diane Spink (Greg);  15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his brother David and brother-in-law Gilbert Hubbuch.
Visitation will be at Fern Creek Funeral Home beginning at 2pm until the time of the service. Funeral mass is 6pm Friday October 6th at 6:00 pm at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road.
