Ibraheem Jibreel Kamal, 66, died Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky

He was born June 1, 1960, son of Woody and Gladys Simmons Salter. Ibraheem worked as a corrections officer for the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center.

Survivors include his daughters, Whitney Alexander and Tanitra Snardon; brothers, Ramon and Dannie Salter; niece, Gail Rose; and nephew, Dannie Salter, Jr.

He was buried in Green Meadows Cemetery.
