James "Henry" Goss, 77, died Friday, August 2, 2024.

He was born June 26, 1947 in Clark County, IN, son of James Edward and Ruth Joey Goss (nee Kiefer).

He was retired from the US Postal Service and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Valley Station. Henry served in the Air Force and was a longtime assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 77. He enjoyed spending time in nature: camping, hiking, rock collecting, arrowhead hunting, and gardening. He never lost his love for animals, particularly dogs.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his sister, Maggie Goss.

He is survived by sons, Andy, Ryan (Stephanie), and Corey (Lea) Goss; grandson, Jimmy Goss; granddaughter, Emerson Goss; and niece, Margo Holloway.

His funeral is 6pm Friday, August 9, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. Visitation lasts from 12pm until the time of the service.
