Heather Lush, age 48, loving mother, daughter, and sister, passed in the early hours of April 14 ^th . Heather was born on May 22 ^nd , 1973, in Louisville, Kentucky to Tom Lush and Rita Lush. At the age of 22 she moved to Franklin, Tennessee with her parents where she had her daughter, Alexandria three years later in 1998. She lived in Tennessee for twelve years before returning to Louisville with her daughter. While in Tennessee, she took up the hobby of riding horses and competed in barrel racing and pole racing, as well as performed in horse competitions with her daughter. You could always find them at the barn or the horse show. She was skilled in mathematics in her younger life and majority of her job roles were in computer-aided design. She always enjoyed being active and on her feet. She loved hiking, going on bike rides, and being out in nature; if she could have lived anywhere it would have been on the beach. She participated and lent a helping hand for all the sports teams her daughter was on and would help others around her in any way she could. She loved to garden and enjoyed arts and crafts later in life, any opportunity to stay busy she would take part. She was a lifelong University of Louisville Cardinals fan and Dallas Cowboys fan. Heather was influenced by her family to be a kind, outgoing person who would light up a room with her spirit and smile. One thing no one will ever forget is her laugh that you could hear from miles away. She loved and admired her daughter till her last day and she was her biggest cheerleader who would do anything to support and protect her.

We know that we can no longer have you on this Earth but we're happy knowing that the angels have taken you home. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful Mother.

Heather is survived by her daughter, Alexandria Lush; mother and father, Tom and Rita Lush; brothers, Steve (Kathy) Lush, and Mark (Tatiana) Lush; and niece and nephew, Erica Lush and Alec Lush.

Her funeral is 6pm Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is after 11am until the time of the service.
