Grace "Sissy" Pflanz Gwynn, 94, of Fern Creek, entered eternal rest on February 4, 2025. Grace was born on December 1, 1930 and raised in Corydon, Indiana the daughter of Henry Stanley and Nellis Housefield Pflanz. Grace graduated from St Joseph Infirmary and spent her career working at St. Joseph's and Methodist Evangelical Hospital for many years serving as a nurse. She was also a proud member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Nellis Pflanz of Corydon, IN; her husband, Frederick Gwynn; her daughter, Stacy Gwynn, her grandson, Brian Ward; her brothers, John, Billy and Henry "Higgy" Pflanz; and sisters Alice "Fofie" Fey and Nellis Dean.

She was survived by seven of her children, Stan (Andrea) of San Antonio TX, Greg of Orlando FL, Ann Deddens (Alan) of Mooresville, NC, Mike (Betsy), Donna, Jack, and Joe (Lynn) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Allison (Torray), Brandon (Tara), Meagan, Taylor (Whitney), Kelci (Blake), Marissa (Conor), and Joshua. She was also survived by 9 great grandchildren. Grace's grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy and she always enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also survived by her sisters Margaret Jacobi (Melvin), Ida Stilger, Ginnie Garbrough, and Amy Schnieder (Herb); brother- Rick Pflanz (Jeannie) and sisters-in-law Joan Wilson and Karen Pflanz.

Her funeral mass is 10am Thursday, February 13, 2025 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation is 2-7pm Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
