Gladys Cecil, 95, died Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky.She was born Gladys Frances Morris on October 22, 1930, daughter of Paul and Marietta Roth Morris.

Gladys was a devoted homemaker and a former auxiliary member of Highland Post VFW and Moose Lodge #5.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Cecil; and children, Pat Cecil and Becky O’Bryan.

Survivors include her son, Tom Cecil; daughter-in-law, Glessie Cecil; son-in-law, Mike O’Bryan; grandchildren, Angela Boles, Sandy Douglas, Melissa Showalter, Erin Cahill, Whitney Reddington, Mary McCauley, Tommy Cecil, and Michael O’Bryan; 11 great grandchildren; and sisters, Judy McGavin and Rose Fowler.

Her funeral is 12pm Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Penn Run Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-7pm Monday, April 20, 2026.
