Ginny
Aldridge
April 27, 2025
Ginny Aldridge, 74, died Sunday, April 27, 2025.
She was born Virginia Mae Goodman on April 6, 1951, daughter of Robert Edward and Doris Noel Goodman. She served over 35 years as a secretary/dispatcher for Barber Coleman Co. She was also a graduate of Iroquois High School.
As a child, she belonged to Arcade Baptist Church where her love for playing the piano was fostered at the tender age of six. She taught piano to many children throughout the years and continued to reminisce about the love she felt for each and every one of her students until the day she died.
By coincidence, she was asked to fill in for the pianist at Hopewell Baptist Church where she met her beloved husband, Ralph. Eventually the two of them landed at Poplar Level Baptist Church where they found shared happiness in the beautiful music of the choir, quartet singing and of course her passion for playing the piano.
Ginny and Ralph loved to travel with friends and family, experiencing everything life had to offer.
In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Aldridge on April 10, 2025.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother-in-law, Mark Aldridge (Kelly); niece, Kenna Aldridge; nephew, Wesley Aldridge; and cousins, Margie Rose, Stacy Noel, Greg Holt, Carol Holt Butler, Bradley Holt, Connie Holt Thacker, Judy Robinson Snyder and Linda Robinson Strong. The family would like to extend a Special Thank you to Pastor Tom Dillard and the entire Poplar Level Baptist Church Community for their uplifting prayers and support during these difficult times.
Visitation is 1-7pm Thursday, May 8, 2025. Her funeral is 10am Friday, May 9, 2025 both at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky with burial immediately following at Bethany Cemetery Louisville, Kentucky..
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to Poplar Level Baptist Church, 14302 Poplar Lane, Louisville, KY 40299.
