Geri Elder, 75, died Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

She was born Elizabeth Geraldine Clark on April 15, 1947 in Marion County, Kentucky, daughter of Edward Lee and Leona Bland Clark.

Geri was a hairdresser, salon owner and a very dedicated member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church for over 53 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was adored by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, James M. "Jim" Elder; children, Marty Elder (Shannon), Jill Bell (Kenny), Tanya Kosek and Niki Spies (Steve); grandchildren, Kaley Bell, Chase Kosek, Cameron Elder, Josh Bell, Zac Spies and Blake Spies; and siblings, Jane Mills (Tommy) and Mike Clark (Debbie).

Funeral mass is 1pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY with burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation is 3-7pm Tuesday, December 27, 2022 and 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.
