Georgetta R. Burroughs, 90, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

She was born March 16, 1934 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of George Harvey and Inez Estell Holt Rodgers.

Georgetta was a devoted homemaker, seamstress and owner/operator of Mom Burrough's Day Care. She was a member of Okolona Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Edgar Burroughs; children, Pam Woods and George Phillip Burroughs; grandchildren, Jimmy Osbon, Cheryl Spink, Tommy Spink and Amanda Woods; and son-in-law, Rudolph Spink.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Spink and Kim McIntyre (Gary); daughter-in-law, Carol Martin; grandchildren, Lori Johnson, Kimmy Parrish, Beth Downing, Shannon McIntyre and Wesley Woods; 10 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Her family wants to extend a special thanks to the staff at Sanders Ridge in Mt. Washington for the excellent care Georgetta received.

Her funeral is 10am Tuesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 2-7pm Monday.
