George Sparks 92, Ellenton, Fl. passed away on Oct. 25, 2022, due to health issues.  He was a Navy veteran of the Korean war, and for many years owned the old "Quik Shop" store on Fegenbush Lane. He and his wife Faye were long-time members of Fern Creek United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye; son, Wayne; and grandson Ricky Sparks.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Katherine; loving daughter, Denise Slusser (Paul); sister, Beverly McKenzie; daughter-in-law, Alicia Sparks;  grandchildren,  Melissa Wright (Scott), Rebecca Sparks (Austin), and Travis Brown (Dana); great-grandchildren,  Siarah, Skylar, Charlotte, and Everly Brown; and Ryan, Lindsey, and Sebastian Roberts; and great-great grandchild, Oaklyn Brown.

A private military graveside service will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
