Jane Bowles, 84, died Monday, November 21, 2022.

She was predeceased by her parents, Walter & Georgia Whitworth; sister, Nancy Jean Whitworth; and her beloved husband of 65 years, Ed Bowles, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Ed Bowles, Jr. (Shannon); grandchildren, Eddie, III (Laura) and Holly Bowles; and brothers, David and Robert (Nadine) Whitworth.

Jane was a Realtor for almost 50 years and she and her husband, Ed, operated as Bowles Realty. They also owned and operated the old Jacobs Cash Market in Butchertown and were actively involved in the restoration of the Butchertown Neighborhood.  She was a member of Highview Baptist Church and served as Church Clerk for 15 years.  She also helped found the Alternative Pregnancy Center with the church (now joined with Beside U for Life).  She was a Kentucky Colonel.

Her funeral is 3pm Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 2-8pm Friday, November 25, 2022 at the funeral home.
