Frederick F. "Fred" Sanders, Jr., 67, died Saturday, June 29, 2024.

He was a retired commercial truck driver and a volunteer firefighter in New Jersey and for Dixie-Suburban in Louisville.  Fred was a graduate of Western High School and a Coast Guard Veteran.

Survivors include his children, Samantha Hill (Trevor) and Frederick E. Sanders; grandchildren, Logan, Rylee and Lilah Hill and Kristopher, Freddy and Alan Sanders; and siblings, Melanie Gaffey (Tony) and Eddie Sanders (Stacie).

His funeral is 6pm Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.  Visitation is after 2pm until the time of the service.  Burial with military honors is 10am Friday, July 5, 2024 at Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon, Kentucky.
