Fred Heckman, 82, entered eternal life on Friday, June 7, 2024.

He was the owner of the old Kentuckiana Tools and Equipment Company, graduate of Ahrens Trade School and member of Southeast Christian Church

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo C. and Ester B. Heckman.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janice Devine Heckman; children, Tim Heckman, Mark Heckman  (Stacy), and Michelle Broyles (Dave); grandchildren, Brian Heckman and his mother Donna Lee, Tyler Childress, Trevor Childress, Trenton Heckman and Lindsay Heckman; sister, Carol Greene; niece, Valeri Ball.

His funeral service is 2:00pm Tuesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd with burial at Chenoweth Run Cemetery. Visitation is after 1:00pm until the time of the service.
