Faye C. Whitworth, 94, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024.

Letha Faye Clement, "Sister," as her family called her, was born on Friday, March 21, 1930 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Austin Leon and Faye Elizabeth (Smith) Clement. In 1951, she married William Houston Whitworth. She was a retired Nursing Instructor at Jefferson State Vocational School in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a faithful member of Highview Baptist Church and a longtime volunteer for Friendship International at Walnut Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by one brother, Jack Reese Clement of Palo Alto, California; her children: Cheryl Faye (Warren) Donaldson, Patricia Whitworth Puckett, and William Alan (Jo) Whitworth; six grandchildren: Thomas Adam (Ashley) Puckett, William Andrew (Ashley) Whitworth, Mark Alan (Beth) Puckett, Allison Faye (Brent) Miller, William Robert (Stephanie) Donaldson, all of Louisville, and Rachel Alayne (Brice) Swann of Rome, Italy; fifteen great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and five siblings.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 3pm to 7pm followed by her celebration of life on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2pm at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40291. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40218. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Hosparus Health Louisville at 6200 Dutchmans Lane, Louisville, Kentucky, 40205 or to the International Mission Board at 3806 Monument Ave, Richmond, VA 23230.
