Elsie Marie Miles, 85, of Louisville, passed away in her sleep on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home in the presence of her family.  Elsie was born April 29, 1936 in Caneyville, KY, the daughter of Arville and Ruby Wilson Hayes.

Elsie is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Miles (Pamela) of Louisville, Robin Miles (Dr. Mary) of Evansville; sister, Betty Kiper; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her loving companion, Peanut; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sr., who also passed away on Easter Sunday 41 years ago; her daughter, LaDonna Honadel; her son, Donald Jr.; brothers, Charlie, Alton and Doug Hayes; and sisters, Patsy Hayes and Belle DeArmond.

Her funeral is 5pm Friday, April 22, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private burial.  Visitation is after 1pm that day until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hosparus are appreciated.   Without them, Elsie would not have been able to spend her final days in her home with her family.
