Ellen Marie Hornback, aged 60, passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident  on March 27, 2024, in Louisville, Ky. She was born on Feb. 4, 1964, in Nebo, Ky.,, to Robert and Eleanor Estep.  She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister Lea Ann Staggs. Survivors include her niece, Sarah (David Coan)Staggs; nephew, Bobby (Rebecca) Staggs; uncle, Roger Brogan; ex-husband, Todd Hornback; and several great nieces and nephews. She was a resident of Louisville; a 1982 graduate of Grand Junction High School, Grand Junction,Co.; and a 1988 graduate in Medical Technology, Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Ky.  She worked as a medical technologist at University Of Louisville Health South Hospital. A memorial service will be held  April 6 at Fern Creek Funeral Home 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Ky. 40291. Visitation starts at 11 a.m. with a celebration of life at 1 p.m.
