Edmund Paul Newhouse, 93, died Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Ed was born April 5, 1933 in Springfield, MA, son of Homer and Leatha Edmunds Newhouse.

He was an aviation mechanic and worked for Jefferson County Police Department. He was a private pilot and served in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Homer Newhouse, Jr. (Jean); and brother-in-law, Dale Holland.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Violet Holland Newhouse; nieces and nephews, David Newhouse (Linda), Lois Born, Susan Lutz and Karen Troutman; and sister-in-law, Patricia Pratt.

A military service and burial is 3pm Friday, July 10, 2026 at Mt. Washington (KY) Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
