E. Carl Buckman, 77, died Thursday, May 30, 2024.

He was a retired truck driver and formerly worked at the SECC Sports and Fitness Center.  Carl was a Navy veteran and a member of Hikes Point Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Lorene Hughes Buckman; siblings, Charles Buckman (Charlotte), Faye Shannon and Maye Langdon (Frank); and stepson, Rion Findley.

Survivors include his wife, Luling Wang; children, Terri Hudson (Darrell), Michelle "Missy' Gordon, Ron Buckman and Adam Buckman (Brigid); stepchildren, Jiachang Zhang and Jiaying Wang; grandchildren, Brittany Anstaett (Andrew), Tyler Hudson (BreAnna), Brett Gordon, Kyle Gordon, Hali Basiliere (Trey), Kelsey, Kera, Elizabeth and Nicholas Buckman and Ellie Ngo; 5 great grandchildren; brother, David Buckman; twin sister, Carole Buckman; sister, Nancy Freeman (Jerry; and brothers-in-law, Roddy Shannon.

His funeral is 3pm Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is after 12pm until the time of the service.
