Dubert Brooks, Jr., 67 passed away Friday, August 14, 2026 surrounded by family when entering the gates of Heaven.

He was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church and graduate of Dupont Manual High School.

Dubert was preceded in death by his granddaughter Kylie Brooks; father, Dubert Brooks, Sr.; and niece, Veronica Cates.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janice Walter Brooks,; and children, Bradley Brooks (Jaclyn). Matthew Brooks (Sha’n), and Ashley Brooks (Amanda). He is also survived by his mother, Frances Brooks; sister, Brenda Cates; and his grandchildren, Evan Brooks, Kasen Brooks, Kobe Brooks, Kinslee Brooks, and Peyton Brooks. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 11am Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 4401 Manslick Road, Louisville, KY. Celebration of Life service to follow at 1:00pm.
