Duane W. Wright, 87, died Sunday, March 13, 2022.

He was retired SSGT, US Army and a Christian. After retirement, Duane worked as a security guard at Brown Foreman, drove for Zip Express, and was an attendant at Swifty in Fern Creek.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Edna Gross Wright; children, Donna K. Voor and Fred Wayne Locke; and brother, Dean Dunham.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Geraldine Sizemore Wright; daughters, Norma Leach (Robert) and Nona Gail Reid (David); grandchildren,
Aaron Leach, Steve Leach (Melissa), Kevin Leach (Lina), Jenna Voor, Rachel Hardy (John), Ben Voor (Ashley), Kelsey Reid-Dowell (Max), and Emily Leach; great grandchildren, Justice Leach, Caleb Leach, Eliza Leach, Ashlynn Leach, Eve Leach, and Lexi Leach; brothers, Dennis (Kathy) and Gary (Cheryl) Wright; sister-in-law, Gertrude Dunham; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral is 6pm Friday, March 18 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private burial. Visitation is after 3pm Friday until the time of the service.
