Doug Orr was born to the late William ("Bill") Henry Orr and the late Wilma Bernice Liggett Orr on July 17, 1956 in Nashville, Tennessee.  He passed away January 4, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Doug was a 1975 graduate of Ballard High School and attended the University of Louisville.  He was most known for his devotion to his Alma Mater of Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky.  Doug served Ballard High School for over 15 years, at one time as the Assistant Athletic Director. He also assisted the Bellarmine University basketball team.  He was one of the main volunteers to record the games for the athletic department for many years. Additionally, Doug worked for Nanz and Kraft Florist for about 15 years.

Doug is survived by his family, Jeremy Decius and Anya Decius; and friends, William Bishop, Coach Scotty Davenport, Susan Fetter, and Charles Taylor.

A memorial visitation and service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation begins at 9am and concludes with a service at 12:30pm.  Following the service there will be a procession to Louisville Memorial Gardens East and interment of his ashes.
