Doris Mae Whitten, 67, died Thursday, September 7, 2023.

She was born April 6, 1956, daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Mary Ruth Simms.  Doris worked for several Louisville area restaurants and in childcare.  She was a member of The Young Adults Church and enjoyed listening to gospel music and sermons on YouTube.  She was a generous person, always willing to provide food and money to someone in need and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her husband, Kim Whitten; children, Matthew Whitten and Kimberly Ann; grandchildren, Alex and Chloe Stoops; and brothers, Daniel Simms (Sara), Thomas Simms (Rose) and Donnie Simms.
