Doris Payne Thomas, 94, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

She was a retired administrative assistant for E.I.DuPont, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Thomas, to whom she married in 1945, and who died in 2004; parents, Thomas "Pete" Alonzo and Mae Helen Motley Payne; and siblings, Juanita Payne Roop, Thomas A. Payne, Jr., Donald W. Payne, Ann Coyle, and Charles Payne.

Funeral mass is 10:30am Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road with burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation is 3-7pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
