Donnie Argyl Meyers, 75 died Thursday, August 10, 2023.

He was retired facilities manager for General Electric with 38 years of service. Donnie served in the Navy Reserves and was a volunteer and former trustee for Fern Creek Fire Department. He was a classic car enthusiast and loved to show his 1964 Chevy Impala.  He was known for his legendary family cookouts.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Brenda G. Meyers; son, Shawn A. Meyers; and father, Navy A. Meyers.

He is survived by his children, Shannon Herrlinger and Donnie A. Meyers, II; mother, Vera Meyers; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Nevin Meyers; sisters, Christine Pigg and Cathy Ryder; and loving companion, Anita Kolb.

Visitation is 3-7pm Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Graveside service is 10am Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Resthaven Memorial Park.  Those attending the graveside service should meet at Fern Creek Funeral Home at 9:30am to form a procession.
