Donald Earl Shelton, 83, died Saturday, April 25, 2026.

He was born August 24, 1942, son of Joseph and Katherine Beard Shelton.

Don was a retired project manager for General Electric, 1960 graduate of Southern High Scholl and member of Highview Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Shelton.

Survivors include his son, David E. Shelton (Maylene); grandchildren, Jessica Barthen (Joshua) and Justin Shelton (Laura); great grandchildren, Henry, Margo and Freyja Shelton and Maggie and Isaac Barthen; stepdaughters, Kelly Matthews and Karen Pearl; and sisters, Pat Wasson (Phil), Linda Robinson (Lonnie) and Becky Henson.

Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Private burial in Custer (KY) Cemetery.
