Donald Lee Fowler, 95, of Louisville passed away at his home on Monday, December 23, 2024. He was an Air Force Vet, 20 year employee of FAMCO, and owner of Highview Bicycle Shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Helen Fowler; and two brothers, Perry and Clifford.
Don is survived by his wife of 73 years, Betty Jo Kirchner Fowler; four children, Steven Dale Fowler (Shelly), Kyle Leanne Hall (Curtis), Bruce Alan Fowler (Tama), Todd Martin Fowler (Stella); eight grandchildren, Derek Tingle, Tyler Hall, Stephanie Stauble, and Shelby, Spencer, Natasha, Brandon, and Sophia Fowler; and three great grandchildren, Leo Stauble, Chip and Theodore Tingle.
Don was a man of many talents and hobbies. He had his pilot's license and was a member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association where he made his long rifle and pistol. He was a member of the Classic VW Club of Louisville. He restored many VW's over the years. He was a machinist, mechanic and restored antique furniture. One of his greatest passions was playing the harmonica. He was a member of the Harmonics of Louisville for many years.
He loved the sunshine and warm weather. You could find him sitting on his deck enjoying the sun, if the temperature was just right.
Don was so loved and will be missed by many.
