Denise Lynn Merryweather, 65, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022.

She was born April 30, 1957 at Corona Naval Hospital in California, daughter of Donald Todd and Grace Turner Lucas. She grew up in the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Denise was a compassionate, talented and respected funeral director and embalmer in the Louisville area.  With her husband, Rick, she founded TIES.  After selling that business, she managed Vogt Vault Company and was co-owner of the old MidWest Container Company.  Denise loved drag racing and remained undefeated.  She enjoyed growing flowers and rescued several greyhounds.

In addition to her beloved husband and "teammate in life" Rick, Denise is survived by her children, Nicole Dahl and Christopher Dahl; grandchildren, Caleb Shobe, Emmalee Coy and Raegen Coy; and stepson, Troy Heyer.

Funeral service is 4pm Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.

Visitation is after 1pm Saturday until the time of the service.
