Debra "Debbie" Lynn Hester Johnson, 61, returned to her heavenly on Friday, February 9 at Norton Audubon Hospital surrounded by her family.

Ms. Johnson was born in Louisville on September 19, 1962, to Janice and Richard Hester. She worked for the Jefferson County Schools as a bus driver and a custodian at Churchill Park.

She was predeceased by her mother, Janice Brightman; father, Richard; son, Dustin Wayne Johnson and her sister, Dana Murphy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her longtime loving companion, Timothy Prunty; son, David Earl Johnson; two brothers, Richard "Ricky" Hester, and Craig Hester; stepfather, Francis Brightman; grandchild, Bailey Johnson; Tim's daughter, Ryan; her children, Carter and Macy; and sister, Pamala Hester.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fern Creek Funeral Home at 5406 Bardstown Rd on Thursday, February 15 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Since Debbie loved her dogs, Baby and Sissy, the family requests that donations be made to the Kentucky Humane Society of Kentucky.
