Dean Higgins, 61, of Louisville KY passed away Friday, October 29 2021. Dean was born September 1 1960 to Herman Joseph and Alma Lea Higgins.

He worked / co-owner of Higgins Die and Mold Supply company for over 37 years. He was now employed at Jacobi Sales Fern Creek branch. Dean was a avid hunter, fisherman and houseboater, handyman/ welder and member of the 1980 class of Fern Creek High School.

Besides his parents which he cherished, Dean was preceded in death his nephew, Justin Mahaffey

Dean was a loving and doting husband to the former Phyllis Shepperson, and loves his son, Wyatt, with all his being.  He is also survived by his step-daughters, Christie Holt (Derek), Michele Lenard (Nate), Ashley Farris (Jimmy), Racquel Johnson (Steve); grandchildren; siblings, Donna Grant (Jesse), Danny Higgins (Crystal), Dina Kae Anderson (Jerry), Doug Higgins (Lori Ann), Dale Higgins, Dana Lewis (Wayne), and Drew Higgins (Valerie); mother-in-law, Theresa Robson (Gerald); and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral is 6pm Thursday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd. Visitation is after 2pm until the time of the service.
